ADULT DISCIPLESHIP MINISTRIES

Discipleship Ministries 2009-2010

The 2009-2010 Program Year means the start-up of our many adult study and fellowship groups. Take a moment to look through this page and plan your participation in the life-changing experience of learning God’s Word!

The Village Church Women's Fellowship

The Women’s Fellowship has begun its Winter Season with a two-month study of the Book of Revelation led by the Rev. Dr. Jack Baca. Gathering time is 9:00 a.m., followed by Lecture and Discussion with Dr. Baca at 9:15, refreshments at 9:55, and Groups at 10:15. It is not too late to join! To prepare, start reading Revelation.

The La Costa Glen Bible Study

Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m. in the La Costa Glen Card Room.

When you think of the Book of Revelation, are you confused, frightened, bored, or you just “don’t want to go there?” Be assured, much of what you may have learned and most of what you hear discussed in popular circles today about Revelation is not necessarily the best way to understand this enigmatic book. Continuing this week, the Rev. Dr. Jack Baca will lead a study of Revelation for the La Costa Glen Bible Study. Plan to attend one of these and discover the Good News that is in Revelation!

The Thursday Morning Men's Bible Study

Meets at Denny’s in Del Mar on Thursday mornings at 6:30 a.m. This winter season we will look at the Book of Revelation.

The Adult Sunday School

(Formerly the Kerygma Class) Meets from 8:30 – 9:45 a.m. in the Conference Room. Taught by Mike Kendall and Don Kiel, a sign-up table is on the patio.

The Couples' Bible Study

Meets on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month at 7:00 p.m. in member’s homes. Contact Doris Kendall at (858) 755-8685 for more information.

LifeLearning Small Groups

New LifeLearning Small Groups will be forming later this month, beginning on Wednesday, January 20. The Winter Series will continue through March 10. If you are interested in the challenge, growth, and fun of a small-group format for discussion, prayer, and support in your discipleship with Christ, but without a long-term commitment, this ministry is for you! If you have questions, please contact the Rev. Dr. Jack Baca at the Church Office or by email.
