30 Hour Famine 2010
The World Vision 30 Hour Famine is an opportunity to really become immersed in the issue of world hunger. Your youth group will be embarking on a 30 hour journey that will help you experience this issue with all your senses through fasting, interactive games, insightful videos, and service projects.

The Purpose of The Village Church Youth Program
- Students to meet other Christians the same age and develop friendships that are both deep and meaningful.
- Provide understandable and motivating biblical based study.
- Students to learn how the message of God applies to their life personally.
- Socialize in relevance.
- Grow in a community of faith.
- Open the student's eyes to the variety and complexity of the relationships with God that other students share.
- Experience God with others through worship, service, and day-to-day life.
Scripture of the Week
This coming Sunday we will be looking into one of the most well known of Jesus’ sayings. Often referred as the “Golden Rule”, Jesus told his disciples that they should, in all things do to others as they would have done to them. While this may seem like a simple statement it is in fact the most all encompassing statement of how we are called to live out our lives on this earth. As Jesus said, it sums up both the Law and the Prophets. Everything that God has ever revealed to man about the purpose of his/her life and the path to God is captured by this simple command. Do you want to know how?

- If you really treated others the way you wanted to be treated, would that look any different from the way you treat others now?
- Do you feel like your someone who pays careful attention to how you treat others?
- Is there anything you would like to change in the way you treat others?
