Men Needed for Care Ministry

Do you have a heart for helping others through difficult times?

Care Ministers walk alongside people experiencing grief, illness, family difficulties, major life transitions and other challenging circumstances. You will learn how to listen and ask reflective questions rather than giving advice or trying to fix someone's problem for them.

There is a saying that sums up what Stephen/Care Ministers do: "I will do for you what you cannot do for yourself so that you may live; I will not do for you what you can do for yourself so that you may grow."

Stephen Ministry training to become a Care Minister (what we call ourselves at The Village Church) is heavily focused on practicing new skills as well as learning didactic information, with comprehensive training manuals included.

The Village Church is seeking men who feel called to serve others and are willing to attend 50 hours of training on campus. Class are taught by several certified and experienced Stephen Ministers and or Pastors, and will meet one night a week beginning in mid-January 2027.
